Island Wellness Adventures
Island Wellness is now hosting Adventures! We are collecting our favorite and most potent destinations and have carefully curated unique lodging in wild places with incredible eats and opportunities.
In 2020, we will offer expeditions to Cumberland Island in March and again in October. The Island Wellness team designs and manages each trip, from pre-production to completion. Our Adventure Guides accompany each group to conduct all of the admin work, provide transportation, hotel check-ins and scheduling allowing the teacher to focus on teaching and spending time with their students.

MiMi McGee has enough acronyms following her name to qualify her for Iron Chef but this self-described culinary alchemist finds flavorful inspiration in her passions for healthful cuisine. What began as a discovery in the culinary arts at prestigious Johnson & Wales has come full-circle for MiMi, whose creative culinary talents take a decidedly plant-based, whole food approach to (delicious) eating. As well as being a trained chef, MiMi is certified in Plant-based Nutrition, Weight Management Leadership and is a Certified Health Coach.

Janita Nelson: Born in South Africa grew up in Johannesburg. Spent a lot of time as a child and young adult in the bush camping and living with wild animals. Studied Fine Art and Ceramics. Worked as an Artist exhibiting in SA and the USA. Has worked as a yoga and meditation teacher for the last 20 years and as an art teacher for the last 10 years. Certified in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, 200 hr Yoga Alliance Certification, and currently working on 500hr certification. Her specialties include Yoga Flow & Yin Yoga.
